    We are happy to introduce you to our next Kognizite Spotlight team member, Whitney Heuer, an Enterprise Sales Executive at Kogniz. While Whitney might come off as laid back, don’t let her quiet confidence fool you. She’s sharper than a Wüsthof wielded by an Iron Chef! The team knows her to be highly collaborative, willing to learn and test out new ideas, and always working with clients on finding creative ways to apply Kogniz’ computer vision and AI platform to real business challenges. Here’s a little more about her...

    Tell us about yourself and what you love about your job at Kogniz.

    How did you find out about Kogniz and what made you apply for your job?

    I found about Kogniz through a job posting where they were searching for a Sales Development Representative (SDR ) at the time. After checking out the company website, I was interested in the AI projects they had going on and thought the tech was very cool. The Kogniz headquarters were located near me which was also important before work from home (WFH) was a thing! I applied with the intention of being an asset to their start-up sales team and was excited at the prospect of working for the founders.

    What are you excited about that you're working on now at Kogniz?

    There is always something exciting happening at Kogniz! Beyond the latest innovations to our platform, I am currently working with some established customers to build out new use cases within their facilities. It is exciting to see how our technology can be applied in different capacities and solve for problems within various departments of the same organization.

    What drove you towards Sales?

    In my first job out of college I was a Sales and Marketing Manager for a consumer packaged goods (CPG) start up. As the company grew, and we hired more people, I was given the opportunity to chose either Marketing or Sales to focus on going forward. I ultimately chose Sales because I really enjoy the relationship building with customers. I find the process of lead hunting, selling, and customer success very gratifying.

    What's something that you learned from prior jobs that impacts your work at Kogniz?

    Teamwork makes the dream work! Whether it is working together to help bring on a new account or helping each other resolve a hiccup along the way - we are all on the same team and working towards the same goal. Kogniz offers a collaborative environment where we celebrate wins together and feel comfortable reaching out for help when needed.

    What's your favorite part of working at Kogniz?

    My favorite part of working at Kogniz is my colleagues. I’m happy to work with a forward-thinking group of people who come from various backgrounds. The culture allows for individual growth and the opportunity to have a direct impact on success. Every day is something new.

    What’s the culture like at Kogniz?

    When you're not working, what do you like to do?

    I have a one year old daughter who occupies most of my time when I am not working! In general, I like to indulge in culinary experiences and spend time with family and friends. I enjoy going to the movies, the golf range, and I'll never complain about impromptu travel or a day sitting by a pool (or any body of water, for that matter).
